If you haven’t already, meet the Xenon! We’ve seen a lot of interest in this particular scanner and it is ideal for healthcare.
The Xenon is Honeywell’s sixth generation hand-held area-imaging scanner and its available in both corded (1900) and cordless Bluetooth-enabled (1902) models. The smaller light weight design is easy and comfortable for just about anyone to hold, reducing operator fatigue during long shifts. It also offers an extended depth of field, faster reading, and improved scanning performance on poor quality barcodes. The Xenon will read virtually any barcode found in the hospital, including high density linear and 2D barcodes.
The Xenon series of scanners are available with disinfectant ready plastics. Recommended cleaning agents include:
- Sani-Cloth® HB
- Sani-Cloth® Plus
- Super Sani-Cloth®
- Isopropyl Alcohol Wipes (70%)
- Virex® 256
- 409® Glass and Surface Cleaner
- Windex® Blue
- Clorox® Bleach – 100%
- Gentle dish soap and water
